The school year got off to a wonderful start – lots of new friends and old familiar faces as well. We are thrilled that each classroom has an additional classroom assistant. This will enable us to have more opportunities to engage the youngsters in small group instruction, hands on programming, and to work on individual skills.

We are excited about our upcoming events:

· Niagara Falls Aquarium on September 20

· Open House – September 26 – 6:30-8:00

· Farm trip – October 3

GRIZZLY BEAR

(Spoken as a chant, and acted out by children)

Grizzly bear, oh grizzly bear, is sleeping in his cave

Please be very quiet, very, very quiet

If you shake him, if you wake him

He’ll get very mad!!!

Actions:

Children act as if they are sleeping on the floor

Someone disturbs the sleeping bears by tapping their backs

"Bears" wake up and growl fiercely and loudly…very fun!
